GITEL Scholarships for Ministry Leadership
Supporting Indigenous Leaders in Ministry

In its inaugural year, the GITEL Scholarship for Community Leadership is now open to First Nation, Métis, and Inuit individuals who are members or citizens of a recognized Indigenous community. Scholarships are open to Certificate of Biblical Studies program students, and are designed to support ministry-minded Indigenous leaders pursuing theological training.

 

AWARD DETAILS

Recipients of the GITEL Scholarship for Community Leadership will have 100% of their tuition and fees covered for the Certificate of Biblical Studies program. At this time, one scholarship will be awarded annually.

 

Supporting ministry-minded Indigenous leaders is one way GITEL is committed to empowering the fastest-growing demographic in Canada to fulfill their calling and make a meaningful impact for God.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must:

  • Have applied to and been accepted into the Certificate of Biblical Studies program;

  • Be active in one or more areas of ministry in their local church, with confirmation provided by the Senior Pastor;

  • Have completed a high school diploma or GED;

  • Preference will be given to single mothers or fathers.​

APPLICATION PROCESS

To be considered, eligible applicants must email info@genesisstudies.com by August 11, 2025, confirming their Indigenous heritage and their desire to be considered for the award.
